Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Bunki LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use arronjohnson.com and any related pages we operate (collectively, the "Site").
We’ve tried to write this in plain language. If anything is unclear, email arron@arronjohnson.com and we’ll explain.
One note before we start: this policy was written by us, in plain language, for transparency. It’s provided for informational purposes and isn’t legal advice — for legal questions about your own situation, please talk with an attorney.
Who we are
The Site is operated by Bunki LLC, founded by Arron Johnson — author of Hairless But Fearless and Bald in The Boardroom, NAAF advocate, coach, and keynote speaker. The Site exists to share his work and let people get in touch.
What we collect
We only collect personal information when you choose to give it to us:
- Order information, when you buy a book from our store pages: your name, email address, shipping address, and phone number. We need these to charge your card, deliver your ebook, and print and ship your paperback.
- Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Your full card number goes to Stripe, not to us — we never see or store it.
- Chat messages, if you use the chat assistant on the Site — including your name and email address if you choose to share them in the conversation. More on the assistant below.
- Your email address, if you submit it through the podcast "notify me" form to be told when the show launches.
- Order-lookup details (your order number and email address), if you use our order-tracking page to check on a shipment.
- Anything you send us by email when you contact us directly.
- Basic technical information sent automatically by your browser, such as your IP address, browser type, and timestamps. This is handled by our hosting provider (see "Service providers" below).
The chat assistant
Parts of the Site offer a chat assistant ("AJ"). It is AI-powered, not a human — it answers questions about the books, coaching, and Arron’s work, and it may ask for your name and email address so we can follow up with you. Sharing those is always your choice; the assistant works without them.
Chat conversations are processed by Aminos, the platform that powers the assistant, and we may review transcripts to improve its answers. If you share your name and email in a chat, we may use them to follow up about the books, coaching, or speaking — the same way we’d respond if you emailed us. Please don’t enter payment details or other sensitive information into the chat; orders go through our checkout pages.
Advertising pixels
Our book pages use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta’s Conversions API to measure whether our ads lead to visits and purchases. The pixel sets cookies and sends Meta information such as the pages you visit and, if you buy, the order value; our server may also send Meta purchase-event details used for matching. See Meta’s Privacy Policy for how Meta handles this data, and note that you can limit ad tracking through your browser settings and your Meta ad preferences.
Beyond the Meta Pixel on the book pages, we do not use third-party analytics cookies or other advertising trackers on the Site.
How we use it
- To process your order: charge your card, email your receipt and ebook, print and ship your paperback, and honor our 30-day guarantee.
- To answer order-tracking requests and email you shipping updates if you ask for them.
- To respond to chat conversations and follow up if you shared your contact details there.
- To email you when the podcast launches, if you asked to be notified.
- To send you occasional emails from Bunki LLC about the podcast, books, coaching, or upcoming offerings. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To measure how well our ads perform (see "Advertising pixels" above).
We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
We use a small set of trusted vendors to deliver the Site. Each one only receives the information needed to do its job.
- Vercel — website hosting. See Vercel’s Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — payment processing for book orders. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
- Lulu — print-on-demand partner. Receives your name and shipping address (and email, for delivery notices) to print and ship paperback orders. See Lulu’s Privacy Policy.
- Make — automation service that routes order confirmations, ebook deliveries, tracking updates, and form submissions to the right place. See Make’s Privacy Notice.
- Aminos — the platform that powers the chat assistant and processes chat conversations. See aminos.ai.
- Meta — ad measurement via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API on the book pages. See Meta’s Privacy Policy.
How long we keep your information
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. Order records are kept as long as we need them to fulfill your order, honor the 30-day guarantee, and meet tax and accounting requirements. Chat transcripts are kept only as long as they’re useful for the purposes above, and you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can email arron@arronjohnson.com to request a copy of the information we hold about you — including order history and chat transcripts — correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete it, or unsubscribe from our emails. Every email also includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
If you are a resident of California, the EEA, or the UK, you have additional rights under applicable laws — including the right to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We honor those rights regardless of where you are located.
Children
The Site is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you provide. No system is perfectly secure, however, so we encourage you to share only what you’re comfortable sharing in any online form.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify subscribers by email.
